Position Title: Web Developer
Works With: Business stakeholders and other IT teams, including, but not limited to, Business Systems Analysts, Software Engineers, Quality Assurance, Technical Operations, Project Management,etc...
Position Overview: Under direction of the Director of Software Development, the Web Developer participates in the detailed design, construction, implementation, and support of web projects that meet
Established specifications, design criteria, quality standards and business requirements with minimum supervision.
Primary Duties/responsibilities/expectations:
• Designs and maintains content, user interface, and graphic features for Green Dot’s websites and web-based applications.
• Produces graphics for the websites, as well as online-based creative marketing materials such as email campaigns and banner ads.
• Builds navigational structures, information maps, and working prototypes to fulfill functional and user requirements for web-based content and applications.
• Collaborates with Software Engineers and Product Managers to define the user experience strategy, spearhead a user-centered design process, and develop useable, useful and compelling website experiences.
• Participates in the definition and documentation of style guides, design principles, and UI concepts.
• Makes recommendations to improve operating efficiency and functionality of assigned systems areas.
• Provides regular status reports to all levels of Management.
• Follows established code guidelines and best practices.
• Reviews and analyzes the web environment to make recommendations for improvements and/or upgrades.
• Assesses technology risk, potential severity, probability and strategy.
• Maintains a high degree of knowledge on current technologies and tools.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures concerning all confidential information including but not limited to internal use and restricted information, including Protected Consumer Information (PCI) and Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Adheres to all Company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Administers duties as defined by the Green Dot performance review plan within the required deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
