Our client is currently seeking a Flat Panel TV Product Planning Manager to join their CE DD Product Planning Team. This position will be based in our North American Headquarters located in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
The Flat Panel DD Product Planning Manager will be responsible for new product concept development, product roadmap generation, communicating with headquarters and all related departments, and managing research companies. Duties entail Market Research & Analysis (Consumer Surveys-Focus Group Interviews, Home Visits, Phone Interviews, etc.), Technology & Industry Trend Research & Analysis, Industry Related Publications Research & Analysis (HDTV, CE Daily, Consumer Reports, etc.). The successful candidate will be responsible for Competitor Product & Strategy Research & Analysis, Retail Market Survey (Price Trends, Design Trends, Spec Trends, etc.), Market Data Analysis (Product Ratings- Consumer Reports, websites, etc., Sell-Thru Data, Product Demand Data, etc.).
The DD Product Planning Manager will communicate with HQ, Product Managers, Sales and Marketing, provide support to Marketing Department for Product Information, follow-up development & product issues/discuss with Product Managers & Marketing people, Information Report (Competitors, Dealers, Technology and Industry Trend), and manage Field Test Post. Requires excellent organizational skills, proficiency in developing sophisticated PowerPoint Presentations, and strong oral and written communication skills to deal with all levels of management.
BA/BS degree.
Technical background or strong interest in technology and trends.
Ability to understand marketing and sales.
