IPeak is currently seeking a perfect fit employee for our growing core network engineering team. The ideal Network Engineer candidate will be a true hacker with a demonstrated interest and passion for new technologies. This early adopter will have a proven interest in the investigating of new technologies as well as in implementing a solid and secure network. Our Network Engineer will gain valuable career experience exploring new market opportunities for our advanced network quality solutions, assisting with technology evaluations, experiments, product testing and more.
Reports To
This position reports to the Director of Product Architecture.
Responsibilities & Duties
Management of Layer 2 VLAN enabled backbone with triple-homed connectivity
Management of VMware virtual infrastructure
Management of Linux based firewall
Management of Linux based multiple-application server with customized software
Management of high density patch panel
Support a wide mix of Windows, Linux and Mac based desktop and laptop systems
Management of Google Apps based IT infrastructure
Management of subversion, Trac, and OpenLDAP systems
Management of core system backup processes
Management of outsourced VoIP phone system
Assignment and management of 50 public IP addresses |
