Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Role:
Looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join a team in Behavioral Health. This is the perfect opportunity to build your practice within a full multidisciplinary team. Currently, our programs offer medication management and assessment, psychological testing and counseling for individuals, groups, couples and families. Generally speaking, full time outpatient clinic providers could expect to see approximately 15 to 20 patients per day.
In addition, call assistance is needed on the inpatient unit. The hospital serves patients in need of acute psychiatric crisis intervention, diagnosis, stabilization and referral. The ten bed unit serves adolescents and adults experiencing a broad spectrum of emotional and mental disorders. Inpatient services accepts both voluntary and involuntary patients whose average length of stay is four days. The average daily census is seven patients.
Must have all not some of the following requirements to be considered for this position:
Master of Science degree in Nursing
Must be a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner with secondary certification in Psychiatry through ANCC.
Must currently be licensed in Wisconsin or must be able to obtain licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
Must have a good amount of years of experience working with adolescents and adults in the area of mental health and medication management.
Must have a strong medical background with good general assessment skills
