Title: Product Quality Engineer
Location: Grand Prairie, TX.
Full Time.
JOB SUMMARY:
Develops, tests, and supports products during the production and configuration phases. This includes servers, PCs, support hardware and software. The successful candidate will assists with product management in a developmental role and the center operations in a quality assurance role.
Monitoring product quality. Updates and supports images used to pre-configure networks, assures order accuracy, and performs integration testing of existing or updated products, in order to eliminate problems early in the configuration process.
Continuous improvement activities. Defines the methods and equipment used to measure key quality characteristics of a process, from system images, network builds, call center performance, service dispatch, onsite installations, product reliability, and vendor support
New product development. Works with product management to test and engineer new solutions to meet quality standards. Becomes involved in product development throughout the process to identify and resolve hardware and software problems.
Documentation review. Reviews and revises product spec sheets and technical characteristics of marketing materials to assure Technicians who build products and customers who use them are familiar and comfortable with their characteristics.
Build Engineer. Participates in the pre-configuration of networks for field installation, including overseeing and reviewing the work of Technicians, with the aim of standardizing design activities to minimize costs and delays.
Training. Trains the internal production staff in updated work instructions and procedures related to the above activities. Functions as central information source throughout the production and configuration processes. |
