Description:
Nursing Supervisor
Nights – 36 hrs/wk
Inpatient Facility
$500 Sign On Bonus Available!
Large inpatient facility providing quality healthcare and bringing the latest medical advances and technology to better the health of our community.
Responsibilities:
Assures customer/personal safety by maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment and by adhering to Employee Health and Safety program.
Utilizes safety guidelines, material safety data sheets (MSDS), and reports hazards, accidents, and unsafe equipment and/or practices.
Demonstrates adherence to universal precautions and aseptic technique
Verbalizes and/or demonstrates roles and duties in fire evacuation, and disaster drills
Regularly reviews hospital information and/or attends educational activities related to safety and injury prevention
Maintains and increases standards of performance and education
Takes initiative to increase job knowledge through additional training, cross training skills development, and/to continuing education.
Reviews all new and revised policies and procedures or designated manuals.
Attends at least 80% of department meetings and /or verifies acknowledgement by reading meeting minutes.
Orders are processed within 1 hour of receipt or before next administration time.
Run daily computer reports and MARS

Requirements for this job:
Current license in the state of practice
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Minimum of 2+ years experience as a staff nurse in critical care
Current certification from the American Heart Association as a BLS
ACLS preferred
