Our Intermediate Software Developer will contribute to the design and development of the embedded systems software that is the foundation of IPeak Networks product portfolio. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who exhibits a keen interest in networking technologies, Linux and embedded operating systems. This is a position for you if you want to be a part of an exciting and growing team developing leading edge loss protection technologies.
Reports To
This position will report to the Manager of Software Development.
Responsibilities & Duties
Design and develop new product features
Maintenance and management of bugs/defects
Responsible for collaborating with the software team to produce ready-for-market product
Participate in product architecture discussions |
| Skills Required: |
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Required:
C/C++ programming experience
TCP/IP and Ethernet Technologies
Development of software libraries for embedded systems
Linux kernel development
Linux Networking technologies
Web development methodologies
Scripting language experience e.G., Perl, bash
Desirable:
Video conferencing and voice-over-IP protocol experience, e.G., H.323, SIP
Remote desktop protocol experience, e.G., PCoIP, RDP, ICA
SNMP experience
Windows Driver/Kernel experience
Qualifications
4 or more years relevant experience
University or College degree in a related field such as Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering
