| Job Description: |
Work with a team of experienced Housing Counselors and Attorneys to provide counseling and guidance to low and moderate income homeowners at risk of or in the process of losing their homes. Negotiate with mortgage lenders and brokers, loan servicers, and real estate agents. Analyze complex situations to assist the client in finding the best solution. Stay current on issues relevant to the mortgage lending, refinance, and changes in foreclosure laws and the availability of resources and special programs in Baltimore City and in neighboring jurisdictions. Assist in marketing the services available through the Program. Participate in policy recommendations. Maintain and monitor clients’ files and database. Ensure accuracy of the inputs to agency’s database. Create reports based on information compiled and analyzed. Maintain a complete understanding of contract requirements to ensure all relevant contract obligations are met in a timely manner. Provide individual instruction, as needed on the use of equipment, software, and network features. Write correspondence as needed. Secure and/or maintain individual certification as a homeownership counselor. Uphold high organizational standards.

Requirements:
Three years of related experience in housing, underwriting, lending, or real estate desired. Bachelor Degree or related experience required. Expertise with spreadsheet and database software applications is required. Strong communication, counseling, and computer skills a must. Spanish a plus.
