viventura is a network of South American Incoming agencies that organizes exciting tours throughout South America. Our international headquarters are located in Medellin, Colombia, with several offices spread throughout South America. We also maintain a European sales office in Berlin, Germany.
viventura is considered to be one of the leading South American travel specialists in Europe and soon in North America as well. Therefore, we are currently expanding our marketing campaign to offer our tours in the United States and Canada. As part of this process viventura will be opening a US sales office. We are seeking to hire an office representative with a background in
finance, accounting and tourism.
Job Summary:
* Responsible for ensuring that financial information is processed in
accordance with stated procedures and processes in order to provide management and statutory report information on time
* Research and response routine inquiries from staff, customers, and suppliers
Your Duties:
* Collaborating with viventura Finance Manager to start up the office in US
* Prepare and deliver travel documents to US clients
* Collecting and accounting of client payments
* Payment to suppliers and accounting of invoices
* Collecting and delivering invoices and bills to external accountant
* Controlling accounting reports
* Identifying and resolving errors and discrepancies
* Input accounting data into the accounting system efficiently and accurately
* Coordinating achievement of legal solutions for routine customer claims disputes

| Skills Required: |
* Basic understanding of accounting processes and procedures, Financial Reporting
* Medium to high level of competence in Excel, Access (desirable)
* Must have excellent computer literacy skills and experience working with the Internet
* Excellent organizational skills used in planning own work.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* Knowledge of Spanish (Desirable)
* Ability to work autonomously (no co-workers for the first year) |
