Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Perform commissioning, job and maintenance for electrical system known as substation, transformer, switchgear motor control center, generator motor, alternator and electrical system protection known as overcurrent relay, transformer different relay, bus differential lock out relay, synchronization relay, master contractor frequency relay, power factor relay, ground protective relay, bulchoz relay and other protective device and metering system in large oil refinery, gas and oil separation plant, pumping station, tank farm, loading pier and other hazardous plant as specified by the Operation Manager. Test carried out insulation resistance test, polarity test, ratio test, primary injection test, power factor or Doble test, C.T. Magnetization curve test, D.C. Resistance test, breaker timing test, phase rotation test, phase angle test, load test, trip test and other test in addition to standard electrical testing as per company standard.
2.Prepare yearly schedule of routine maintenance and calibration of protective device.
3.Instrument used in commissioning and preventive maintenance jobs are multi-amps injection test sets, SR76, SSR78, foster injector, siemen’s injector, multi-amp saturation test set, oscilloscope, high speed digital pen recorder, power system polymeter, control transformer, impedance bridge, current rectifier, frequency test set, digital phase angle meter, power disturbance analyzers, Westinghouse micro versa trip test and others in addition to electrical standard testing.
4.Troubleshoot maintain and repair generator excitation system, synchronization systems and voltage regulation. Troubleshoot generator winding.

9.Perform wide variety scope of maintenance on the uninterruptible power supply units (UPS). Daily inspection on the metering panel for under voltage, over voltage and control logic alarms. Weekly record the input voltage, output voltage and the system voltage. Quarterly shut-down of the UPS machine by proper switching procedure. Put back the machine to normal adjust the voltage thumbwheel for checking the under voltage and over voltage protection for proper operation of the setting. Inspect visually the Electronics component of the inverter leg and test the silicon control rectifier and the power fuse for proper operation. Calibrate the control logic card base on the setting then apply trip testing. Periodically inspect the battery cells voltage, specific gravity temperature and the system voltage UPS used in the system are exide, International Power Machine (IPM) and Teledyne inets which is used for super computer known as CRAY II.
10.Practices good housekeeping including jobsite clean up, conform to American safety standards, rules practice and required it to others.
