OBJECTIVE:
To provide System Administration, Technical skills, and Security implementation in the development and maintenance of LAN/WAN systems.
My background as a System Support Specialist is extensive in troubleshooting hardware and software issues that I acquired while working for Texas Department of Transportation. With eight plus years of experience in Automation, I was responsible for ordering and maintaining computers, monitors, printers, faxes, and phone equipment. Also, I developed and maintained a database that kept all computer equipment according to departments along with warranty tracking.
As a Help Desk Support Technician, I handled calls that involved various MS applications, mainframe issues, resetting passwords and connectivity issues. I built workstations using images or remote control delivery software and delivered them to remote area offices. Also, I would troubleshoot telephone issues via the PBX system and contact service providers when appropriate.
An example of my ability to adjust to performance demands was demonstrated when our telecommunications person quit without notice requiring me to quickly fill in with little assistance to learn and manage the maintenance of the Meridian PBX system along with six other Norstar Systems to my employer’s satisfaction.
